Our classes cover everything you need to know as you prepare for the birth of your baby, as well as yoga-based techniques and tips to help you through your labour.  We provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based information to help you make the decisions that are best for you.   Birth partners are very much included and encouraged to become central to the support of mums-to-be. Why Private Antenatal Classes?

  • One day classes are ideal for those who cannot attend several weekly classes
  • Groups are small (6 couples max), allowing for plenty of questions, discussion and individual attention
  • Our classes are presented in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, with plenty of opportunity for all questions to be answered
  • We are a midwife-led service, so you may be able to reclaim a part of the cost from your insurance provider

Our Team

In a relaxed and laid-back environment, registered & practicing midwife Elizabeth & Birthlight yoga instructor Laura combine their professional & personal experience of birth & beyond to present your antenatal information with knowledge, warmth and humour. 
 
About Elizabeth: Elizabeth McGovern is a registered midwife currently working in the maternity unit at Mullingar Regional Hospital.  As a practicing midwife, Elizabeth offers couples the most up-to-date information and hands-on knowledge of the birth process and caring for your newborn.  Elizabeth is a qualified Aquanatal Instructor and most importantly, mum to 4 children!  She brings a wealth of personal as well as professional experience to our antenatal classes.
 
About Laura: As a mum of 4, Laura brings 25+ years experience of pregnancy, birth, anatomy, and yoga to this course. She has taught pre- and postnatal yoga classes since 2006.
